(Titus 1:1-9)
Tonight we begin a new series, "Dear Titus: A Work in Progress". We begin by looking at the task Paul left for Titus in Crete: to "put in order what was left unfinished". Many of us can feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the mission God has given us, especially when things feel incomplete.
Join us as Iain unpacks Titus 1, and shares Paul's wisdom in dealing with this tension.
The series explores the New Testament letter to Titus, a practical guide for leading churches on the island of Crete that were very much a work in progress. Just as Titus was tasked with building up a community that reflected Christ in their character and actions, we recognize that our own lives and churches today are still ongoing projects of faithfulness. We will discover how this ancient letter guides us to develop communities where character speaks louder than words, where genuine faith leads to good deeds, and where people are anchored by the hope of grace in Jesus Christ, empowering their transformation and maturity.
