As we begin our journey through the letter of 1 John, tonight Iain takes the opportunity to unpack the powerful and beautiful language that John uses in 1 John chapter 1. Here we are shown 3 fundamental truths, that challenge us to consider our own hearts, and the masks which we try to hide behind.
The letter of 1 John is full of beautiful imagery, metaphor and powerful language as the Apostle John writes to the churches he cares for. As he does so he is seeking to encourage them, in the incredible, powerful love that God has for His people, and the love we are called to show one another.
As well as this there is a call for discernment, to hold to the truth of who Jesus is that John is sharing from his testimony and eye witness accounts.
