The Helmet of Salvation

In this message, Rupert opens Scripture to explore the reality of spiritual warfare and the hope, protection, and identity found in Christ. Looking at passages including Ephesians 6 and 1 Thessalonians 5, Rupert unpacks the “helmet of salvation” and reminds us that the Christian life is not passive - it is a daily journey of discipleship, perseverance, and learning to stand firm in God’s strength.

From Series: "Armour of God"

Drawing from the imagery of Ephesians 6 but with reference to a different primary text, this series explores each piece of the armour Paul encourages believers to “put on”: the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Rather than abstract metaphors, each week offers practical formation - learning how truth stabilises us, righteousness protects, peace guides our steps, faith extinguishes fear, salvation secures our identity, and Scripture equips us for discernment and action.
