Message: “Mark: Late Addition” from Gavin Brown

A message from the series "The Gospel of Mark." (Mark 16:9-20) We often prefer a tidy ending, but the Gospel of Mark concludes with a mystery that leaves us hanging. Why does the earliest manuscript end with fear and silence, while later additions offer theological clarity and a call to action? Join us as we explore the "extensions" of Mark’s Gospel and ask: how will you choose to end the Jesus story in your own life?

A New Elijah / A New Baptism

(Mark 1:9-13) This week we continue our our series on the Gospel of Mark with the idea that this is a new kingdom and a new king has arrived. There is a new way of doing things, and that requires a proclamation - a way to tell others of the Good News. As Gavin unpacks Jesus' baptism we are challenged that our faith needs to be more than a subtle faith, but instead something that is public.
