Alice Springs Baptist Church is actively involved in both Global and Local ministry. We support individual missionaries as well as ministries which are actively involved in fulfilling the Great Commission both within our shores and around the World.

We support:

Check out their webpage @ http://www.globalinteraction.org.au/

Global Interaction Thailand with financial support, prayer support and hope to send semi-regular short-term teams there. Global Interaction cross-cultural workers in Thailand seek to encourage culturally relevant expressions of faith, life and worship, and are involved in culturally appropriate development projects. The team works in two regional clusters in northern Thailand: one within urban communities and the other in a rural area. Specialists such as Jit and Jan Yawan work with Karen churches and Lyndal Brunner assists families affected by HIV/AIDS

We also support Global Interaction Outback Australia, through prayer,  partnership, and financial supports. Global Interaction works with several remote Aboriginal communities in partnership with Yapaku Baptist Association NT and Martu churches in the Pilbara region in WA. The primary work is training church and community leaders.

We also support the ministries of Missionary Aviation Fellowship. MAF is a not-for-profit team of aviation professionals providing air transport in places of deepest human need - remote places where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline. For almost 60 years, MAF has flown over jungles, mountains, swamps and deserts to bring thousands of men, women and children medical care, emergency relief, long-term development and Christian hope.

We encourage church member participation in missions and we have sent mission teams and individuals to various places throughout the world. We also believe as Oswald Chambers said, "Prayer does not fit us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work." And so we are committed to praying for those ministries and ministers we support in other ways. We have a bi-monthly prayer meeting for missions.
